Police said the 19-year-old woman was shot to death in Dearborn after a road rage dispute.

DEARBORN, MI — Police are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a Dearborn road rage shooting that left a 19-year-old woman dead last month.
Rawan Baseti was fatally shot at 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 21 in the area of Tireman and Cheyenne in Dearborn after a road rage dispute, according to police.
The incident started near Warren and Southfield where a white 2015 Chrysler 200 cut off a black 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee that Baseti was driving, according to police.

Baseti then followed the Chrysler onto Tireman and the Southfield Service Drive where investigators believe she was trying to get the car's license plate numbers, according to police.
She continued following the Chrysler until it reached the intersection of Tireman and West Morrow Circle where the Chrysler turned north onto Cheyenne St and someone inside the car fired numerous shots at the Cherokee, according to police.

One of the rounds smashed through the Cherokee's windshield and fatally hit Baseti, according to police.
Two other women, who were passengers inside the Cherokee, were not injured in the shooting, according to police.
"Rawan was beautiful inside and out. To say that my family and I are devastated or heartbroken is an understatement. Losing Rawan broke us," Hani Baseti, the victim’s brother said. "We urge anyone who’s seen or heard anything to speak up so that my beautiful baby sister can get the rest she deserves."
Officers initially arrested three people in connection with the shooting, but later released them after charges were not brought against them, according to police.
Though they remain persons of interest, police are asking anyone with information to speak up.
"Rawan was a cherished member of our community whose life was tragically taken in a senseless act of violence. If anyone has information, no matter how small, it could be the key that we need to solve this case and bring [the] suspect to justice. I am confident that someone out there has some information that [could help] us solve this case. Rawan and her family deserve justice," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.
