Dearborn Brothers Develop Unique Basketball App

Four Dearborn natives have created 'HoopMetrics' to help coaches analyze players and lineups.

DEARBORN, MI — Basketball coaches, listen up. There’s a new hoop app on the market that’s going to make your life a whole bunch easier. And you have four Dearborn natives to thank for it.

“Co-founding brothers Luke Geiger and Matt Geiger launched their company, 6th Man Apps, in 2013 with a more primitive basketball stat tracking app.”
“You don’t want to be keeping stats in 2017 on pen and paper,” said Luke Geiger, CEO and lead software engineer. “There’s no reason to have someone sitting behind your bench trying to map out a court chart. It’s not scalable. What are the biggest goals for a high school coach? It’s to develop players and to win games. That’s exactly what this app can help them do.”
