Dearborn High Soccer Prevails at Tournament
Pioneers go 2-0-1 at the Dearborn Soccer Invitational on Aug. 27.

soccer team enjoyed a successful weekend at the Dearborn Soccer Invitational on Aug. 27, according to the MHSAA.
The Pioneers went 2-0-1 in the tournament, defeating Grosse Pointe South 2-1 and Trenton 2-0. Dearborn tied , 1-1, but the Falcons won on penalty kicks, 4-3.
Divine Child lost to Grosse Pointe South in the tournament, 3-1, and to Trenton, 2-1.
Grosse Pointe South also defeated Trenton, 4-0.

DHS standouts during the tournament included junior Ali Jawad, who scored three goals throughout the day; and senior Peter Corso, who scored two overall.
