DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn High School was placed on lockdown Thursday morning after a bullet shell was found in the bathroom, according to police.

School officials initiated a soft lockdown as a precaution and notified police after the bullet casing was found, according to police.

Officers searched the building along with K-9 units and determined there was no credible treat to students or staff, according to police.

The lockdown was lifted at 11:30 a.m. and school activities returned to normal, according to police.

There were no injuries in the incident and police do not know where the bullet casing came from, according to police.
