Ford's Garage Opens To Praise From Patrons

Ford's Garage, a restaurant specializing in burgers and craft beer, has received high marks from customers since opening.

DEARBORN, MI — Ford’s Garage recently opened in Dearborn. Located at 21367 Michigan Avenue just west of Southfield Road, the restaurant specializes in burgers and craft beers as well as a healthy dose of Ford Motor Company history.

Ford’s Garage is already drawing praise on the review website Yelp. After 40 reviews, customers are giving the restaurant four and-a-half-stars out of five.

“Really impressed with this place, had great service and food opening week,” wrote Vince N. of Dearborn in a Sunday five-star review. “The building is beautiful service was great and also the food was great. We started out with the fried pickle appetizer which was delicious with the two dipping sauces. I ordered the Model A burger which came with a fried egg on top cheese pico de gallo and bacon. It was very juicy and cooked to perfection. My wife ended up ordering the meatloaf dinner which she thoroughly enjoyed.”

Billy Downs, who also operates BD’s Mongolian Grill restaurants in Metro Detroit, is the owner of Michigan’s first Ford’s Garage. Ford’s Garage has four locations in Florida.

The menu includes a 10-pound hamburger called Henry Ford’s “Hub Cap.” It’s billed as 10 pounds of black Angus beef the size of a Model T wheel, sandwiched between a huge bun.

“The food was great too. I love French Onion Soup-one of my favorite food items, if it's on a menu I'm ordering it,” wrote Tony C in a July 6 review. He also gave the restaurant five stars on Yelp. “I would put their French Onion soup at the top of my list. Not overly salty, and loaded with onions. Delicious! Had the patty melt---delicious. Often Patty melts are dry not this one. Very juicy and delicious.”
