MDOT Construction on I-94 Near Taylor Begins June 22

Eastbound and westbound I-94 traffic lanes will be shifted in order to keep two lanes open during peak travel times throughout the project.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will reconstruct the bridge approaches that lead I-94 over US-24 (Telegraph Road) in Taylor next week.

The project is tentatively scheduled to begin the weekend of June 22.

The work will require construction crews to close one continuous lane of I-94 in each direction approaching Telegraph Road. All work on this $1.5 million investment is expected to be completed in October.

Crews will be correcting drainage issues, which have caused some settling of the pavement approaching the I-94 bridge.

During the project, eastbound and westbound I-94 traffic will be shifted in order to keep two lanes open during peak travel times. No lane closures are expected on Telegraph Road under I-94, and all interchange ramps will remain open.
