Mega Millions Jackpot Tops $300 Million
Both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots rolled over after their most recent drawings.

METRO DETROIT, MI — Earlier this week, Patch reported that Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford purchased a $3.85 million mansion in his native Georgia. It’s a palace of a home, to be sure. But if you win either the Powerball or Mega Millions Jackpot next week, you can buy an estate twice the size of Stafford’s and still have plenty of cash left over.
That’s because nobody hit either jackpot during their most recent drawings. The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, July 30 were: 1, 28, 40, 45, 48, and a Powerball of 12. The jackpot now stands at $261 million with a cash value of $162.4 million.
