Team Rehabilitation Services Open New Location in Dearborn

The business will focus on treating patients with neurological conditions, as well as amputees.

A new rehabilitation clinic focused on treating complex neurological injuries and diseases has officially opened its doors in Dearborn.

Team Rehabilitation Services, located at 5141 Oakman Blvd., opened on May 29.

The clinic is led by Rebecca Jose, who holds a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Miami and is experienced in treating stroke patients, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputees, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

It is the 26th clinic operated by the company to open in the metro Detroit area, and one of the only locations equipped to handle neurological rehabilitation services.

“I am certified in LSVT-BIG physical therapy, which is a treatment specific to Parkinson’s Disease, but, at the same time, my staff and I are trained and very experienced in treating orthopedic injuries to the spine and the extremities, post-op and balance, and vestibular impairments," Jose said. “We would like to show the public and the professional community what a terrific facility this is.”

Prior to becoming the clinic's director, Jose worked for the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan in Detroit.

"I'm excited to bring my expertise to the Dearborn area," Jose said. "There are a lot of places people can go for physical therapy, but many clinics are not properly equipped to handle clients with neurological deficiencies."

Jose said right now the clinic has only one therapist, however there are already plans to add a second therapist as the demand for services increase.

"I expect that we'll stay pretty busy," she said. "The proximity to Detroit and other cities make us a prime location to help serve our clients."

Persons who are looking for a physical therapy facility for themselves or a loved one are encouraged to stop by the Dearborn East facility during regular hours. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
