Woman Stabs Husband Along Telegraph Rd In Metro Detroit: Sheriff

Police said the couple got into an argument and the woman eventually stabbed the man in the hand with a knife.

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman is facing charges after stabbing her husband inside a home along Telegraph Road in Monroe County early Thursday morning, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

The attack happened at 2:20 a.m. Thursday inside a home in the 6800 block of South Telegraph Road in Bedford Township, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials said a man called police and initially asked for help, but hung up. After several more calls, the man told police that he had been stabbed, according to the sheriff's office.

Officers arrived at the home and found a man suffering from a hand injury, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators believe the man got into an argument with his 37-year-old wife, who grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the hand during the fight, according to the sheriff's office.

Officers arrested the 37-year-old woman and placed her in the Monroe County Jail, according to the sheriff's office.

She is facing a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, according to the sheriff's office.

If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.
