1-2 Inches Of Rain Expected Across Detroit Area This Weekend

It will be a rainy weekend across the Detroit this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect rain showers to move into the area during the afternoon hours Saturday before picking up overnight.

The widespread rain showers and non-severe thunderstorms will continue on and off throughout Sunday, the weather service said.

The rain will eventually move out of the area by the nighttime hours, leaving behind between 1 and 2 inches in most areas across southeastern Michigan, the weather service said.

There will be more chances for rain across the area early next week, the weather service said.
