Roughly 2 inches of snow fell across the region with powerful winds reaching up to 45 miles per hour, pushing temperatures into the single digits Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow flurries with sustained winds of 15-20 miles per hour with gusts reaching up to 35-40 miles per hour are possible across the Detroit area Thursday, according to the weather service.

A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for the Thumb and Saginaw Valley regions where some areas can see an additional 2-5 inches of snow Thursday, according to the weather service.
Wind chills will push temperatures back into the single digits Friday morning before a warming trend that will eventually lead to 50 degrees on Monday across the Detroit area, according to the weather service.
