8 In Hospital After Fire At Detroit Senior Apartment Complex
Three people are in serious condition with second- and third-degree burns, according to reports.
DETROIT, MI — Eight people were hospitalized after a fire started at a senior apartment complex in Detroit Sunday evening, according to reports.
At least one person had to be rescued from a balcony after the fire began at Parkview Place Apartments, located between Jefferson and Palmer on Chene, around 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Detroit Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell told WWJ.
Three people were listed in critical condition after being taken to a local hospital, according to a report from WXYZ. The TV station reported that five other people were hospitalized with minor smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire at the 16-story apartment building is still unclear, according to WXYZ.
