Ambassador Bridge Closed, Massive Delays Along Blue Water Bridge

Officials said drivers can expect a four hour wait to cross the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, as traffic can be seen backed up for miles.

DETROIT — The Ambassador Bridge, going in to and out of Canada remained closed Wednesday morning due to a Canadian protest, state officials said. Drivers were urged to take the Detroit-Windsor tunnel or the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, which was experiencing massive delays.

Officials said drivers can expect a four-hour wait to cross the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, as traffic can be seen backed up on Interstate 94 in a line that stretches six miles.

One of America's busiest international bridges has been shut down since Monday night, and it remains unclear whether the bridge will fully open. U.S. bound traffic opened Tuesday morning, but Canada bound traffic remained closed Wednesday morning.
