DETROIT — A 7-year-old boy was killed and his 5-year-old sister was injured in a hit-and-run crash caused by a suspected drunken driver in Detroit over the weekend, according to police.

A vehicle ran a red light and slammed into two other cars at the intersection of East Seven Mile and Mound roads at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

Three adults and two children were inside one of the vehicles that was hit, according to police.

A 7-year-old boy was killed in the crash and his 5-year-old sister was taken to a nearby hospital where she was listed in critical condition, according to police.
