DETROIT — A busy stretch of Interstate 94 in Detroit will this close this weekend for bridge work, according to road officials.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes on the freeway between Michigan 10 (Lodge Freeway) and Interstate 94 will close down Friday at 8 p.m., for beam installation of the Cass Avenue bridge over the freeway, according to road officials.
Officials noted there will be one lane open on eastbound Interstate 94 for local traffic to access northbound or southbound Michigan 10 (Lodge Freeway).

Eastbound Interstate 94 will be detoured to southbound Michigan 10 (Lodge Freeway) and northbound Interstate 75 to eastbound Interstate 94, according to road officials.

Westbound Interstate 94 will be detoured to southbound Interstate 75 and westbound Interstate 96 to westbound Interstate 94, according to road officials.
The lanes are expected to reopen to normal traffic Monday at 5 a.m., according to road officials.
During the weekend of April 5-8, westbound Interstate 94 is expected to be closed from Interstate 75 to Michigan 10 (Lodge Freeway) for additional bridge work, according to road officials.
Eastbound Interstate 94 is expected to be open during that closure, according to road officials.
