Check Out Detroit's New Vintage Market Event
All Things Detroit and Vintage Market founders have joined forces at Fort Wayne to offer this one-of-a-kind market.

DETROIT, MI — Vintage finds and locally-made goods will abound this September at a brand new Detroit event called Market in the City. An all-day, outdoor shopping and entertainment event, Market in the City is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 8, 2019 at Detroit’s historic Fort Wayne.
The concept was forged from a collaboration between All Things Detroit Founder Jennyfer Crawford and Rina Belanger and Angie Guzzardo, the founders behind the Vintage Market.
“Hosting this event at the historic Fort Wayne with the ladies of the Vintage Market means a lot because it’s at a venue that I have always dreamed of working with for an host an event – and we’re doing so at with two ladies I admire who have the same passion to help small businesses as I do,” said Crawford.

As a cross between two already successful events - All Things Detroit and The Vintage Market – Market in the City will feature a handmade and Detroit-made focus – and is expected to draw shoppers and visitors of all ages.
It was created to show strong support for small, local business owners. It will highlight up to 200 small business owners who represent everything from vintage and shabby chic goods to home decor, furniture, bath and body products, candles, upscale handmade items and of course a focus on Michigan-made goods.

The day will also include a food truck rally, live music all day and free photo booths. Visitors can check out vintage camper and mobile fashion boutiques, get psychic readings by Billy Tyler Healing, take the kids to the play area, and pet rescue animals from The Devoted Barn.
“Angela and I are long-time supporters and lovers of the city of Detroit,” added Belanger. “When we started The Vintage Market over 5 years ago, it was always one of our dreams to host an event in Detroit. Many of our vendors have opened shops in the city and it's been so exciting to see them flourish and grow.”
It’s also the first time an event of this kind has been held at Historic Fort Wayne. Crawford hopes Market in the City will encourage visitors “to see this space come alive.”
“Where we decide to host a market is very important to us,” added Belanger. “When seeking a venue for our markets, we always strive to find somewhere with a beautiful park-like setting - or somewhere with a gorgeous backdrop. Historic Fort Wayne embodies all of the above. Not only is the fort a part of American history, the grounds are beautiful and the waterfront view is stunning.
“We are so excited to host an event to showcase these wonderful small businesses all in one place,” said Belanger.
Market in the City will cost $5 admission at the gate, though kids 12 and under enter free. Expect free parking and a free porting system to help manage large purchases.
