Jack-Knifed Semi Leaking Diesel Fuel Leads To Backups On I-94 At Chene St In Detroit: MSP
There were no injuries in the crash, according to police.

DETROIT — Multiple lanes on westbound Interstate 94 near Chene Street in Detroit were closed Friday morning after a crash involving a semi truck, according to Michigan State Police.
Police said a semi truck smashed into the back of a Lincoln, which had its hazard lights on because of a flat tire early Friday morning at 4:45 a.m.
The jack-knifed semi truck then began leaking diesel fuel all over the freeway, according to police.

Officials stopped the diesel fuel from entering the storm drain, but additional hazmat procedures will be necessary, according to police.
"Another preventable crash caused by a driver following too close. Make sure you allow enough distance between you and the car in front of you to stop safely," said Michigan State Police First Lt. Mike Shaw. "Drivers should avoid the area as backups are miles long due to the cleanup."
