Delta Passengers Served Spoiled Food On Flight From Detroit: Officials
Investigators were still trying to determine what happened and are in contact with the airline's food suppliers.
DETROIT — A Delta flight from Detroit was diverted to New York early Wednesday morning after passengers were given spoiled in-flight meals, according to airline officials.
The flight, no. 136, was headed to Amsterdam, but was rerouted to JFK Airport in New York after staff learned of the incident, according to airline officials.
Medical crews met the flight at JFK at 4 a.m. when it landed at the airport to treat affected passengers and crew members, according to airline officials.

There were 277 passengers on board, but it's unclear how many ate spoiled food.

"This is not the service Delta is known for and we sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and delay in their travels," Delta airline officials said.
