Man Arrested In Deadly Detroit Hospital Shooting: Police
The shooting happened Friday morning in the basement area at Henry Ford Hospital, according to police.
DETROIT — A man accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife at a Detroit hospital was arrested over the weekend, according to police.
The shooting happened at 9:55 a.m. Friday at Henry Ford Hospital where 53-year-old Mario Green shot and killed 40-year-old Latricia Green, according to police.
Mario Green was arrested early Saturday morning on Lemay Street near East Warren Avenue in Detroit, according to police.

"Our officers worked tirelessly to get this monster off the street," Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said in a statement. "We have the best police department in the country, and I would like to thank our law enforcement partners who assisted us in apprehending Mario Green, along with the community members who provided numerous tips about the suspect. No person deserves what happened to Ms. Latricia Green, and my heart and prayers go out to her family."
Police said the fatal shooting happened in the hospital's basement area. Police said the two had gotten into an argument before Mario Green pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots, killing Latricia Green who worked at the hospital.

He then left the building in a white Dodge Charger that was later found that afternoon in Detroit, according to police.
Investigators were still trying to determine what the two were arguing about and how the shooter was able to bring a gun into the hospital.
