Man Fatally Shot At Detroit Barber Shop

Two barber shop employees in Detroit got into a fight, leaving one man dead, police say.

DETROIT, MI — A Plymouth man is facing first degree murder charges for reportedly shooting a man to death at a Detroit barbershop on June 26. According to authorities, it was about 3:45 p.m. when two men, employees of the barbershop located in the 13300 block of West Seven Mile Road, engaged in a battle.

At first it began as an argument, police said, and escalated into a physical fight outside. That’s when 29-year-old Jamar Levon Woodmore, of Plymouth, is accused of getting a gun from his car and shooting 27-year-old Leon Webb to death.

Four days later Woodmore turned himself into police. He is now charged with first degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in the 36th District Court on Tuesday.
