DETROIT — A man died in a rollover crash along Interstate 75 in Detroit on Monday, according to Michigan State Police.

The crash happened at 2:10 p.m. in the northbound lanes on the freeway near the Schaefer Highway exit ramp, according to police.

Investigators believe the driver was going too fast when he took the exit ramp and lost control. They said the vehicle veered off the roadway and into a grassy area on the left shoulder. It then careened back onto the freeway where it struck the metal guardrail and rolled over, coming to a rest on its roof, according to police.
