Metro Detroit Road Alert: Icy Conditions
The Michigan Dept. of Transportation just Tweeted "Icy conditions on bridges, ramps, overpasses. Use extra caution & plan on slow going."
METRO DETROIT, MI — Wherever the road takes you in Metro Detroit this morning - whether you're en route to work, school, or spin class at the gym, build in extra travel time. That's the word from the the Michigan Department of Transportation, which just posted the following alert on its Detroit Twitter, "Icy conditions on bridges, ramps, overpasses. Use extra caution & plan on slow going."
The recent snowfall has wreaked havoc on Metro Detroit roads, and there have already been a myriad of crashes this morning, including on EB I-94 at N River Rd., NB I-275 at Ford Rd., EB I-96 at I-94.
