MI Gas Prices Jump 18 Cents: AAA

Gas prices across Michigan jumped 18 cents over the past week, according to AAA.
The average price for a regular gallon of gas Monday morning across Michigan was $3.29, 18 cents more than a week ago and 13 cents higher than the national average, according to AAA.
Michigan drivers paid an average of $49 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, according to AAA.

Prices were also up in the metro Detroit area. Drivers in the region paid an average of $3.30 for a regular gallon of gas, a 12-cent increase from last week, according to AAA.
"The national average saw a modest increase over the last week after storms temporarily knocked the Midwest’s largest refinery offline in Indiana, triggering sharp jumps in gas prices across Ohio, Wisconsin, and Michigan," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, in a release.

The most expensive gas price averages were in Traverse City ($3.34), Ann Arbor ($3.33) and Lansing ($3.32). The cheapest gas price averages were in Flint ($3.23), Marquette ($3.24) and Benton Harbor ($3.29).
