Michigan Reports 477 New Coronavirus Cases Tuesday
Michigan also reported 15 new deaths being attributed to the coronavirus — seven of which were identified during a vital records search.
MICHIGAN — Michigan reported over 400 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, according to information provided by state health officials.
The state reported that 477 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Michigan, which has now reported 93,662 total cases of the respiratory illness. Michigan also reported 15 new deaths being attributed to the coronavirus — seven of which were identified during a vital records search. The uptick brings Michigan's coronavirus death toll to 6,340.
State health officials confirmed 465 new cases of the coronavirus on Monday, while also adding one new death attributed to the virus. The state has now reported fewer than 500 new cases of the virus for two straight days.

The World Health Organization currently has Michigan ranked No. 18 in the U.S. in total reported cases of the coronavirus. The group ranks the state ninth in the nation in coronavirus deaths. Michigan has ranked as high as third previously.
