Near-90 Degree Temps Ahead This Week

Summer temperatures are returning, but there's a catch.

MICHIGAN — Summer isn't done with us yet, Michigan. Temperatures in Metro Detroit will soar back up to nearly 90 degrees Tuesday, leaving us with quite the warm up compared to the last week when summer seemed to have abruptly left us with a chill in the air. But there's a catch. It's summer storms we're expecting.

Expect mostly sunny skies Tuesday and a warm up that will turn into thunderstorm chances by Wednesday, with the same heat sticking around. Showers will linger throughout the rest of the week.
