New Coffee Shop Opens In Detroit's Corktown Neighborhood

A popular Yemeni coffee shop opened a new location Wednesday in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood.

DETROIT — A popular Yemeni coffee shop opened a new location Wednesday in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood.

Haraz Coffee House opened a new spot at 1501 Church Street, which is just off Michigan Avenue and Trumbell.

"We’re incredibly excited to be part of Corktown’s vibrant and diverse community," said Hamzah Nasser, founder and CEO of Haraz Coffee House. "Detroit is a city known for its soul, resilience, and innovation — all values that Haraz represents. Haraz Coffee House is best known for its coffee beans from the Haraz Mountains in Yemen. They opened their first spot in Dearborn in 2021. Since then, they've opened several other locations in the Detroit area and across the nation.
