Popular Detroit Bar Closing Down At The End Of 2024

DETROIT — A popular bar in Detroit’s Cass Corridor neighborhood is closing down at the end of this year.
8 Degrees Plato, located on Cass Avenue near Peterboro, says it is permanently closing down on Dec. 31, as the owners decide to retire from the business.

8 Degrees Plato, which had been in business for more than nine years, was best known for their extensive list of local and global beers to buy.
The bar was also a popular stop for fans heading to a Red Wings or Pistons game at Little Caesars Arena.

The owners said business will be normal until the closing date, and any changes will be made on social media.
