Rain Before Gradual Warm Up: Metro Detroit Weather

Forecasters do not expect any severe weather this week.

METRO DETROIT — Showers and thunderstorms will move through the metro Detroit area this week before temperatures warm up for the holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Widespread showers and storms will develop Thursday morning and continue through the afternoon hours across the region, the weather service said.

Highs will stay in the 60s Friday, before gradually warming up through the holiday weekend, eventually hitting the upper 70s by Labor Day, the weather service said.
