ROMULUS, MI — A train derailed Thursday morning in Romulus, scattering multiple cars across the tracks, according to multiple reports.

Officials said the incident happened at roughly 10 a.m. near the intersection of Wick and Shook roads, which is just north of Interstate 94, reports said. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

Pictures posted to social media showed multiple cars off the tracks.
