The Winter Weather Advisory has been extended Thursday morning. Here's the latest update.
METRO DETROIT, MI — The Winter Weather Advisory has been extended until 10 a.m. Thursday for Southeastern Michigan as the winter storm passes through.
Last night brought several inches of wet accumulation and now forecasters warn of the likelihood of freezing rain and black ice on the roads.
"Snow covered and slippery roads along with possible areas of black ice will result in hazardous travel conditions through the commute this morning," the warning advises.

A Lakeshore Flood Advisory is also in effect through this afternoon.
Snow will continue into tomorrow and pick up again on Sunday.

Snow likely, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle, becoming all snow after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 32. North northeast wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
