Winter Weather Advisory Issued: Metro Detroit's Hourly Forecast
A winter weather advisory is in effect as snow, freezing rain and sleet begins to accumulate from Wednesday until Friday.
METRO DETROIT, MI — A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued across Southeastern Michigan as a midweek storm passes through. The forecast predicts freezing rain, snow showers and some sleet for a wet accumulation of around four inches in Metro Detroit. The advisory is in effect for Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe counties.
According to the hourly forecast by the Weather Channel, the precipitation will start around 5 p.m. Wednesday and continue constantly until 7 a.m. Friday, when the skies are expected to be cloudy but dry finally. The National Weather Service predicts that the worst of the storm will hit the region between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday.
