Woman Raped, Then Robbed Inside Detroit Home
A 30-year-old Detroit man is accused of crawling through the woman's bedroom window, sexually assaulting her and then robbing her.

DETROIT, MI — A 30-year-old Detroit man is facing charges in connection to the home invasion, sexual assault and robbery of a 56-year-old Detroit woman. Police say Christopher Hightower crawled through her bedroom window in the 12000 block of Stringham Court in Detroit around 4 a.m. April 27 and gestured that he had a gun. He reportedly sexually assaulted her, took some of her belongings and fled.
Authorities investigated and eventually arrested Hightower for the crime. He has been charged with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of home invasion and one count of armed robbery. He was arraigned in the 36th District Court Friday.
According to the judge in the case, he had two prior convictions, including felony firearm. Hightower hung his head low when his bond was set at $500,000, no 10% allowed.
