Construction On Farmington Tropical Smoothie Underway

FARMINGTON, MI — Construction is underway on what will be the new Tropical Smoothie at the World Wide Center on Grand River Avenue in Farmington.

Officials said the construction follows a series of upgrades and improvements made to the existing shopping center building earlier this year, including a new facade. Those improvements, officials said, are the first set of comprehensive improvements at the World Wide Center since it was constructed in 1974, officials said.

"The City is anticipating and is looking forward to the opening of Tropical Smoothie in the spring of 2021," officials said in a news release.

Farmington approved variances and a site plan in 2018 to upgrade the shopping center and construct the Tropical Smoothie Cafe, the city previously said.
