Macomb And Oakland Counties Added To Disaster Declaration

Residents and businesses can now apply for low-interest loans to help those affected by the severe flooding that occurred in late June.

MACOMB AND OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — The U.S. Small Business Administration announced Wednesday that it added Macomb and Oakland counties to the disaster declaration in Michigan.

The decision will allow Macomb and Oakland county residents and businesses to apply for low-interest loans to help those affected by the severe storms, flooding and tornadoes that occurred on June 25-26.

"Currently in Michigan, the SBA has approved 3,172 disaster loans in the amount of $94,025,100 for affected survivors," director of SBA’s Field Operations Center East in Atlanta Ken Fleming said. "The SBA encourages anyone who has not applied to act now."
