Wind Advisory; Metro Detroit Forecast

METRO DETROIT — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for all of SE Lower Michigan on Monday.

Metro Detroit will see sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with guests reaching up to 45 mph, the National Weather Service said.

The strong winds could blow around holiday decorations and knock-down tree limbs, which could lead to power outages, the National Weather Service said.

There's also a chance of afternoon snow showers, in which a few rounds could produce bursts of snow that will make for slippery travel this afternoon and early evening. Less than an inch of snow is expected, NWS said.

Temperatures will also fall though the 30s, in which in the wind chills will make it feel like the 20s before falling into the teens Monday night into Tuesday morning, NWS said.
