Fenton Resident, Former Detroit Lion Eric Hipple Participates in 'Landmark' Concussion Study at DMC

Hipple says he hopes to find out what damage multiple concussions have had on his brain.

Former Detroit Lions player Eric Hipple, who lives in Fenton, is currently participating in a study about concussion-related brain injuries at the Detroit Medical Center.

In the video above, Hipple says he wants to know the full impact multiple concussions he had during his football career had on his brain.

"I still don't know what my damage is, that's the only reason I'm here for the study," he said in the video.

Hipple is one of 50 former NFL players participating in the study, which involves brain scans and a series of in-depth cognitive tests.
