• Ruth Sara Beardsley (tctimes.com) — Longtime Fenton resident and retired State Road Elementary teacher Ruth Sara Beardsley has passed away at 94, leaving a legacy of service to local schools and charities. She helped lead the Rotarian Angel Tree program, supported FARR and the Fenton Freedom Festival, and built deep ties through Fenton United Methodist Church and Spring Meadows Country Club. A celebration of her life is planned January 17 at Fenton United Methodist Church.
