The end of summer is approaching, and the Ferndale Public Schools district has posted its 2013-14 calendar. 

Here are five dates we think could be particularly important, especially if your family is planning a vacation around school. Click here for the complete district calendar.

  1. Sept. 3: First full day of school
  2. Nov. 28-Dec. 1: Thanksgiving recess
  3. Dec. 21-Jan. 1, 2014: Winter break
  4. Feb. 17-23: Mid-winter break
  5. April 5-13: Spring break
