Safe Night Volunteers Needed on April 13

Safe Night will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 13 for Ferndale Middle School students. Ferndale Youth Assistance and the Southeast Oakland Coalition are looking for volunteers ages 18 and older for this event. Volunteers are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to find your stations, and stay at the event to help clean up.

Safe Night is an event for youth to have an alternative source of entertainment and to showcase various ways to have fun without drugs or alcohol. Several different activities are scheduled for the evening, like open gym, games, an interactive DJ, and much more.

If you are interested in volunteering, contact Carly Averill, Program Director for the Southeast Oakland Coalition at caverill@ferndaleschools.org or by phone at 248-752-8239.
