Ferndale’s Axle Brewing Unveils “Stable Genius” Beer

Axle Brewing announced the creation of a new beer via the company Facebook yesterday, sparking news stories across Metro Detroit and the country. While the naming of beer is a serious matter, and one craft breweries elevate, some might say, far above the level of the beverage to be named, when the president gives you hoppy lemons, you make Stable Genius beer. Named in honor of the self description in one of President Trump’s Tweets, Stable Genius will be a limited edition beer, available for purchase or at the brewery’s taproom, Livernois Tap.

According to the company’s Facebook, “Sometimes a great beer name comes in your sleep, or on a hike, and once in a great while when you hear a story on the radio and the beer you are drinking shoots out of your nose. This was the latter. Coming soon.”

Axle Brewing opened in 2015, and added Livernois Tap, a taproom serving Axle’s beers, with input from the chefs at Grey Ghost.
