  • Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year celebration, lasts through the evening of Friday, Sept. 6.Β 
  • Michigan F.A.S.H. FestΒ will be held Friday, Sept. 6, through Sunday, Sept. 8, in Detroit. A portion of proceeds will benefit Forgotten Harvest.
  • The Ferndale Street Eats food truck rally comes to The Rust Belt Market from 5-10 p.m.Β Saturday, Sept. 7.Β The Shimmy Shack, whose chef is Kirsten Johnson of Ferndale, will serve up vegan fare; a variety of other trucks also will be on hand.
  • Sunday, Sept. 8, isΒ Grandparents DayΒ at the Michigan Science Center in Detroit. The celebration will include workshops from 1-3 p.m.,Β crafts, nostalgic games,Β chemistry fun andΒ homemade ice cream program.Β
