Help Shape Ferndale Parks By Giving Feedback On The Latest Parks and Recreation Plan
Ferndale just released its updated Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which lays out present and potential projects.

FERNDALE, MI β Ferndale residents, how well do you know your Ferndale parks and recreation activities? You can be a master - and offer your own ideas - by checking out Ferndale's updated Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The 128 page plan offers an inventory of existing facilities and programs in Ferndale and outlines potential new programs and needs.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment requires communities update their Plan every 5 years to be eligible for grant funds, so city officials and Hamilton Anderson Associates have been pouring over the current plan since the fall of 2015. Now the public is invited to check out the report and offer feedback. You can download it here or pick up a copy at City Hall (300 E. Nine Mile Rd.) and Kulick Community Center (1201 Livernois). The next step of the plan? There will be a Public Hearing in late February for possible plan adoption.
The plan also includes results from the Parks and Recreation Community Survey 2016. Below are a few interesting findings:
