Schramm’s Mead Recalls Elderberry Variety

Customers Can Return Mead In Ferndale For Refund

Schramm’s Mead announced late last week it would voluntarily recall bottles of its β€œElderberry” variety sold between Sept 30 and Dec. 6, 2017. The 375 ml wine bottles contain a dark purple variety of mead made with elderberry. In the last two weeks, two customers reported upset stomach and nausea after drinking Schramm’s Elderberry.

The company advises customers that still have bottles of the elderberry mead not to drink the mead, but should instead return the product to the Schramm’s tasting room for a full refund. The tasting room is located at 327 W. Nine Mile, Rd., Ferndale.
