Born in Detroit Dec. 18, 1934, Angelo J. Colombo departed on Jul. 24, 2011. He lived in St Clair Shores, MI.
Colombo passed away peacefully at his home Sunday July 24th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Camillo and Angelica (nee Cardani) Colombo.
Mr. Colombo graduated from Southeastern High School in 1953. He served his country proudly from 1957 to 1959 in the United States Army attaining the rank of Corporal. He was employed for 38 years for the Chrysler Corporation in management.
Angelo leaves behind his loving wife Michelle Skuba. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Kevin and Todd Colombo, Brandon and Christopher Chrzanowski, Michael, Patrick, Caitlin and Colleen Moran; and great-niece Gabriella Colombo. He was predeceased by his brother Leo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at , 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd., in Grosse Pointe Woods. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. He will lie instate on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 12 p.m. Monsignor Patrick Halfpenny will officiate. The service will conclude with military honors at the Church.
