City Of Grosse Pointe Selects Hotel Committee

Meetings Will Be Open To Public

Grosse Pointe City council met Monday, Jan. 8, appointing a new committee to help determine the scope of the city’s planned hotel development. According to the Grosse Pointe News, controversy over the hotel in November’s mayoral election made Pedersen Development, the hotel’s proposed builder, had the project while they seek more guidance from the city.

The council will offer this guidance via an 8-person committee to advise the developers. Members include Downtown Development Authority representatives, council members, business leaders and other community members. The committee members include Grosse Pointe Mayor Christopher Boettcher, two members of city council, DDA Chairman Andrew Martin, among others.
