Gearheads Robotics Team Competes at States

Students on the joint North-South robotics team, the Gearheads, are competing this weekend at Eastern Michigan University for the state title.

For the first time in the history of Grosse Pointe's student robotics team, the Gearheads have qualified to compete in the state competitions. The first elimination rounds began Thursday and the final rounds are Saturday.

The team formed under another name in 2002/03 school year and has been competing since, according to the organization's website.

The team competed a few weeks ago in Livonia, having its best performance ever.
