They led officers on a short chase before going behind a house in the 3800 block of Cadieux Road and ridding themselves of the bicycle parts. They began talking with the officers and an adult came out of the house and told the boys to tell police the truth about what was going on, according to the report.
As police questioned them, the boys eventually admitted stealing the bicycle and showed them where the parts were lying behind the garage and in tall grass.
