The football team defeated 9-7 on Friday night, according to mhsaa.com.

With the victory, Grosse Pointe South improves to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the MAC Blue Division.

Anchor Bay falls to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the MAC Blue.

Grosse Pointe South plays at undefeated Port Huron next week in a battle for first place in the division.
