Grosse Pointe South Tennis Finishes 4th at State Finals
Two Blue Devils doubles teams win state championships.
The finished fourth at the Division 1 state finals at Midland on Saturday as two Blue Devils’ doubles teams took championships.
The No. 2 doubles team of Carrie Lynch and Clare Brennan and the No. 3 doubles team of Alana Dickson and Amelia Boccaccio each prevailed in their flights.
Lynch and Brennan defeated Lindsay Harmsen and Taylor Shamery of Hudsonville 6-1, 7-5 to claim the title at No. 2 doubles.

Dickson and Boccaccio outlasted Maya Fields Jacobs and Azba Gurm of Ann Arbor Pioneer 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 for the championship at No. 3 doubles.
Grosse Pointe South’s Julie Wittwer and Emma Hyde placed second at No. 1 doubles.

Division 2 Finals
tied for seventh at the Division 2 state tennis finals at Jenison.
Division 4 Finals
placed 12th at the Division 4 state tennis finals at Holly and Grand Blanc.
