Grosse Pointe Woods Fireworks Blast Off Sunday Night

Grosse Pointe Woods will celebrate Independence Day Sunday with music, food and fireworks.

The annual celebration starts at 7 p.m. with a musical program in Parcells Field. City officials state that no dogs or alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the field.

The music will be followed by a fireworks show, which will blast off at "full dark." 

The rain date for the show is Monday, July 1.
